The amount of overweight people in our society is rapidly increasing. Even though most overweight people are aware they need to lose weight, starting and sticking to a strict diet and exercise routine is difficult to sustain.

One of the key ingredients for losing weight is regular exercise. Unfortunately, exercise is something many people despise. With that being said, is there a way to get healthy and lose weight without exercise?

The good news is there are some simple ways to lose weight without exercising.

Do Not Drink Soda

Drinking soda adds empty calories to your diet that can add to your waistline. If you have a 2 soda a day habit, that is the equivalent of 102,200 calories or approximately 30 lbs in a year.

Eat Healthier Snacks

In between meals when you start to feel a little hungry, reach for something healthy such as nuts, vegetables or fresh fruit.

Fruits are naturally sweet and can be an effective way to curb your appetite and sweet cravings.

Be Aware Of The Amount Of Food You Are Consuming

One way to lose weight without exercise is to cut back on the amount you eat.

Whatever amount you would typically eat cut it in half and dont return for seconds. If you are still feeling a little hungry have a glass of water or some vegetables.

When you cut back on the amount of food you eat, you cut back on calories and start to slowly lose weight.

Consume Eight or More Glasses Of Water Daily

In order to cleanse the body of toxins and keep your digestive system functioning at peak capacity you need to drink lots of water.

Drinking water before and after each meal will also help you stay full for a longer period of time. This calorie free beverage is the ideal replacement for high calorie and sweet drinks like soda.

To get the most health and weight loss benefit from water, drink at least 8 glasses daily.

Take The Stairs

One way to get exercise without actually exercising is to do simple things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Taking the stairs may not be a high intensity workout but it will help you burn some additional calories.

When done on a regular basis it can result in several pounds of weight loss yearly.

Losing weight doesnt have to be hard but it does require dedication and commitment. Making simple lifestyle changes like the ones mentioned above can help you lose weight without exercise.

Despite the fact that weight loss is possible without exercising, embarking on an exercise program can only improve your results.
